PRAYER CHAIN BEING UPDATED
How many times have serious illness, accidents, or death happened in the lives of our church
family and their families and you did not know about it until way after the fact? You can be informed.
Just sign up to be on the Church Prayer Chain. This is one of the most important ways to reach out to
those who are hurting.
It has been said, "Prayer is a strong wall and fortress of the church; it is a goodly Christian's
weapon. More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of. We want to help when someone
is ill or been in a terrible accident, or death has touched a family. One of the most powerful ways to
help is to lift these persons in prayer.
Matthew 7:7 says, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be
opened unto you." How wonderful and comforting to know that God will hear our pleas. Who knows us
better than He? He also knows our needs, but sometimes He is waiting to hear from us. Waiting for us
to realize that we can't always handle things our way by ourselves, and for us to ask for His help.

                                                PRAYER CHANGES THINGS
                                                    Prayer changes things!
A silent prayer Will ease the task you face,
                                                For God answers each petition
In His mercy and His grace.
                                            Sometimes the answer may be Yes;
                                                    Sometimes it might be No,
But God knows what is best for us
As on through life we go!
And as we quietly accept What'er His answer brings,
We find our problems all work out,
                                         Because, PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!

Yes, we are always wondering, wondering how-Because we do not see someone-perhaps
unknown and far away-on bended knee. We know that prayer works. Are you willing to help? Do you
want to be "in the know"? Saying a prayer is something all of us can do, it doesn't take much time.
We are updating the prayer chain for the first of the year. If you are willing to participate fill
out the following form and give to Deloris Dyess or place it in the offering plate.
God Bless,
